Marketing Technology Manager Job title: Marketing Manager – Marketing Technology Department: Marketing Place of work: Stamford Bridge, Fulham Working Hours: 35 hours a week Reporting to: Marketing Lead – Digital Delivery Job Function: Responsible for ensuring that the Chelsea FC marketing tech stack is at the forefront of capability, supporting marketing strategy. The role operates across multiple platforms & environments and ensures smooth operation.
Develop a blueprint & roadmap for the to-be architecture including the selection and delivery of a strategic marketing data architecture. Tools include marketing insight, segmentation & orchestration and deployment.
Enable the marketing department through identification, validation and prioritisation of business use cases for tool & data enablement
Work with Analytics to ensure data points are correctly captured during requirements gathering and products and analytical tools surface the information required
Support in requirements gathering, develop & maintain a marketing data warehouse, ensuring highest data quality and consistent data architecture
Work with Insights, Platforms & Performance to ensure that marketing tags are well defined, implemented & governed
Support in the governance of Marketing data quality in parallel with Legal & Information Security, including but not limited to GDPR compliance
Integration of 3rd party data sources using APIs
Support in the management of SLA's for all data sets and work with providers to enforce these agreements
Liaise with Analytics & Performance stakeholders to ensure the correct marketing and campaign performance metrics are captured, delivered and clearly tracked
Consult with Analytics and CRM to identify opportunities to implement cross-platform insight and analytics solutions to business problems
Understand and recommend data capability enablement and integration approaches to operational challenges
3+ years of experience in technical marketing or marketing technology environments
Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, GCP)
Experience with Tag Management solutions
Experience with scripting languages SQL, Python, Java, etc
Commitment to high standards and attention to detail
