Database Insight Internship JOB TITLE: Database Insight Intern DEPARTMENT: Business Analytics REPORTING TO: Senior Data Analyst JOB FUNCTION: A key part of the Insights team at Chelsea Football Club, the Insight Intern will assist the Senior Data Analyst in analysing the Single Customer View database to provide actionable business insights. This involves data form a wide variety of sources and across the business including transactional (e.g. store or ticket purchases), behavioural (registration on the 5th stand app) and demographic (ACORN data). This is a great opportunity to learn new tools, develop analytical skills and coding languages whilst gaining experience at one of the world's top football clubs. LOCATION: Stamford Bridge CONTRACT: Fixed Term, 12 month role typically working 35 hours per week (9am – 5pm)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part):
Support the Senior Data Analyst on a range of tasks to analyse club and partner marketing campaigns across email, and other channels.
Report on business email performance and KPIs via reports and dashboards.
Use data visualisation tools to present key findings.
Use a range of analytics tools to interpret fan behaviour, demographic profiles and consumer interactions.
Use different methods of segmentation to analyse commercial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE (Here to Win):
Display a strong understanding of the Single Customer View database including the data that feeds into it.
Become proficient in the use of FastStats, a data querying tool.
Successfully deliver insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Successfully apply statistical methods OR analytical coding languages to analysis and insights.
Understanding of statistical methods OR analytical coding languages.
On course to achieve a 2:1 in your degree.
Microsoft Excel competency.
