Look Back At April’s PFA Awards -  Shining Stars of Football Honoured

The 44th annual PFA (Professional Footballers’ Association) awards were held on 23rd April in in the Grosvenor House in London to honour the brightest and best of the footballing world.

The glamorous ceremony saw the great and good out in force. Awards were given to:

  • Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, who was crowned PFA Players’ Player of the Year at the 2017 
  • Manchester City Women and England defender Lucy Bronze, who was crowned PFA Players’ Player of the Year in association with Sodexo for the second time
  • Former England captain David Beckham, who won the PFA's Merit Award 2017
  • Tottenham and England midfielder Dele Alli, who was crowned PFA Young Player of the Year for the second year in succession 
  • Birmingham City Ladies defender Jess Carter, who won the PFA Young Player of the Year 
  • Arsenal and England’s Kelly Smith MBE, who won the PFA Special Achievement Award
